Week #11

We are continuing to patiently wait for Clarisse to get better.

The good. Clarisse has been on Valproic Acid for 10 days now and she does not seem to be suffering from side effects. The frequency and intensity of the night terrors has reduced. Clarisse seems to be able to chew without triggering as many involuntary movements from the rest of her body.

The not so good. There has not been meaningful progress yet on the movement and speech part. Although she seems to be generally in a better mood.

Continuing to read as much as I can about genetics and the brain to try to understand how dopamine and gaba could be involved in the triggering of involuntary movement and how 22q11.2 micro-deletion/COMT could amplify the issue.
